And then when you consider that this is being achieved in a mechanical timepiece without the aide of a battery and computer chip, hopefully you will begin to realize what exactly is going on inside that casing in order for the watch to give you all that information. Also, the calendar functions are controlled by recessed pushers in the side of the case as a further indication of the type of engineering in which the Louie was made. Looking somewhat like a sprocket or gear, the eye-catching beveled bezel has been designed with a crenellated border reminiscent of the crenellated turrets on top of castles in ancient times when wars and battles were fought with regularity.
