In recognition of this new generation, Stührling Original presents its newest innovation in watchmaking ? the Millennia. What makes the Millennia so tantalizing is its astonishing case. Cut from solid 316L surgical grade stainless steel, the graceful tonneau-shaped case presents a satin finish on its arched topside forming a handsome frame for the custom-cut curved Krysterna? crystal. The main attraction of the case however are the high-polished sides which (make a striking contrast to the satin topside and) feature a triple row of grooves that have been milled directly into the steel! On its face, the Millennia delivers a look for the ages. Through the split-level, two-piece skeletonized dial, beating (at 21,600 vibrations per hour) in all its glory is a magnificent 20-jewel mechanical self-winding movement. The classic three-hand movement has been blatantly skeletonized and with its sexy, hand-engraved scroll-work on black IP (ionic plated) pillar plates, the new Millennia from Stührling Original is truly bewitching. Fostering the mesmerizing look of the Millennia, are diamond-cut, skeletonized, and luminous-tipped hour and minute hands (with a razor-thin second-hand) so as to not obscure the charm of the oscillating balance wheel and rhythmical beat of the pallet fork as it releases power to the drive train. Enriching its expression, are faceted and polished baton indices which glisten with each and every move as light refracts just enough to catch the envy of any onlookers. The final appointment, looking like a double-layer cake, is the double-barreled, knurled-edge crown with a black rubber ring around its middle!

I purchased this watch for myself because I'm a girl who loves to wear men's watches! I think they look great and really feminize a wrist because they are slightly too large for the female wrist. But back to this watch -- it's gorgeous, it is a true rose-gold tone thats not easily identifiable on the pictures here, and has 3 gorgeous gouging details on either side of the case (decorative, and very lovely, gives it that extra special touch that proves to the naive viewer that it is NOT a cheap watch).
The movement is mesmerizing--it is a true automatic watch! I haven't tested it for more than a day or so but
I can update this if I remember to let you all know to what extent this automatic loses time (all automatics do--get used to it!). The rubber is sleek and refined, with an almost powdery look to its finish (this is no wet look, high shine rubber--tacky!!) and is elegant for day or evening, men or women. The box it comes in is great, but unlike most reviewers I don't care what little papers it comes with--I bought the watch, not the box! Nice presentation though. For those confused about how to size rubber bands (haha, that sounds funny) Stuhrling provides instructions on its website under the FAQ section. Yes, you can do it yourself. Yes, you should follow its instructions to remove it one "strip" at a time--can't go back once you've cut!
