Every watch collector needs a skeleton watch in their collection, so at Stührling Original, we came out with the Delphi to offer something straightforward, elegant and classic at a reasonable price. And not surprisingly the Delphi has become one of our all-time best sellers and favorites among collectors! The movement is a 20-jewel mechanical automatic, a simple three hand movement with the crown offset between the two and three two o?clock position. The parts of the movement have been skeletonized and hand-engraved for extra panache. The textured dial on what remains of the off-center cut-out is vintage Stührling Original dial-work to the point that the beauty of the dial rivals the beauty of the movement which dominates this timepiece. The step-design round case (40mm) is constructed of solid 316L surgical stainless steel and has Krysterna crystals (front and back) and with its screw-in case back, is 50 meters water resistant. The watch is mounted on a genuine black leather strap with a lizard embossed finish. The beauty and technical achievement of the Delphi far exceeds its reasonable price tag. Having not heard of this brand before, I was skeptical when I made this purchase. However, I have been nothing but impressed by the watch. The Delphi is elegantly designed, the detail of the skeletonized movement is wonderful, and it keeps very reliable time. Over the month that I have owned this watch, it gained just under 1 minute. For a mechanical watch movement at any price point, this would be considered very good performance. I receive receive compliments on the watch all of the time, and I think it will be the first of many Stuhrling watches that I will own.
