From Stührling Original?s Special Reserve, introducing the 1776 Continental! A timepiece so unique, that it represents the defiant culmination of years in development. Beginning with the amazing technical achievement, in the world of horology, a timepiece that gives you the day of the week, the date, the month AND the year, all within the parameters of a mechanically driven engine is regarded as a Grand Calendar multi-complication work of art. The 1776 case is constructed of solid 316L surgical grade stainless steel and with its large 42.5 millimeter size from top to bottom, this refined case sports a triple step design on both sides and a wide high polish convex bezel as a frame to this masterpiece. All of the indices are high polished to catch and refract light and have been individually applied to the hydraulically embossed dimpled dial. The half moon date ring has also been individually applied to the dial. The faceted diamond cut dauphine style hands make a perfect complement to the indices and case. The crown on the 1776 Continental is a stainless steel knurled edge crown with the embossed Stührling emblem. On the flip side, this 1776 has all the bells and whistles. Peering through the decorated screw-down exhibition case-back with rounded edges, you will see the spectacular 20-jewel mechanical automatic movement in all its glory, fully decorated with Côtes de Genève, accented with blued steel screws, and completed by a Damier finished rotor with an engraved Stührling Original logo. The Continental is water resistant to 30 meters and is mounted on a heavily padded 22-millimeter wide alligator embossed genuine French leather strap with a water repellant liner and quick release pins. The push-button dual deployant clasp with the Stührling signature logo completes this incredible timepiece in true revolutionary style!
