And now, through the triumph of The Alpine, Stührling Original is elated to present the two newest members of the family?the Lady Alpine & Alpine La Femme! The Lady Alpine flaunt the stylish tonneau-shaped case with scalloped edges that its archetype became popular for. And like always, that distinguished case is constructed of solid 316L surgical grade stainless steel, but the real attractions here are the domed crystal in concert with the propeller-style face plate and luminous cigar-style hands. The 35mm wide case harbors an elegant grade-A mother of pearl dial and is complemented perfectly with a polished chakram-style bezel accented by six steel decorative screw-heads. The globular crown with its black rubber equatorial ring is a perfect complement contributing to the look of these Alpine sisters. When you go behind the look, these sisters are both powered by a reliable Citizen quartz engine rendering a classic three hand movement with a quick-set big date complication at the three o?clock position. The final touch is the exquisite bracelet. Fully integrated to the case, the high polish 17mm five-row solid stainless steel link bracelet is completed with a butterfly deployant clasp. On the flip side, the decorated case-back is threaded and screws into the case allowing for water resistance up to 100 meters.

This is a good, sturdy watch and is easy to read, no matter if it is light or dark.

The watch has a big, stylish face that's easily readable day or night. It's a bit heavier than expected and the band needs to be relatively snug to keep the face in place on your wrist. Also the metal band is nearly 3/4" so the watch has a masculine appearance. Keeps accurate time but the crystal scratched within the first week of use. The crystal on my Tissot watch is unscratched after two years continuous use. ...Update after wearing the watch for 7 months,I'm very happy with the purchase - no problems to report. It's durable, keeps accurate time, and the clasp on the band is easy to manage and stays latched during use. It deserves 4 stars but I can't edit that rating.

I have really enjoyed this watch! I was looking for something sturdy and chunky. I did have to return the first one I purchased because the second hand fell off . . ? However, Amazon was GREAT about exchanging!! I think it is very cute and unique!
