Watch description
About Stuhrling Original 107.334534 / 107334534:
If you are going to wear a mechanical timepiece why not show it off with a skeletonized dial for everyone to see? Every watch collector needs a skeleton watch in their collection, so at Stührling Original, we came out with the Delphi to offer something straightforward, elegant and classic at a reasonable price. And not surprisingly the Delphi has become one of our all-time best sellers and favorites among collectors!
The movement is a 20-jewel mechanical automatic, a simple three hand movement with the crown offset between the two and three two oclock position. The parts of the movement have been skeletonized and hand-engraved for extra panache. The textured dial on what remains of the off-center cut-out is vintage Stührling Original dial-work to the point that the beauty of the dial rivals the beauty of the movement which dominates this timepiece. The step-design round case (42mm) is constructed of solid 316L surgical stainless steel and has Krysterna crystals (front and back) and with its screw-in case back, is 50 meters water resistant. The watch is mounted on a genuine black leather strap with a lizard embossed finish. The beauty and technical achievement of the Delphi far exceeds its reasonable price tag. This watch comes packaged in a Stührling Original watch box with a Stührling Original 2 year warranty card and instructions.

A beautiful eye catching watch. Only needs to be wound once a day. I have received several compliments on the skeletal movement.

I bought this watch coupled with the Lady's Wall Street (also a Stuhrling Original) to get an extra little discount, since I've wanted a Stuhrling skeleton piece for a while. The second skips sometimes, which is weird, but it doesn't lose time somehow. Beautiful piece that I get a ton of compliments on all the time. I'd buy it again.

I got this watch for Christmas and since then it's MAYBE lost about 30 seconds. While it's not at the same level as a Breitling, Rolex, or Patek Philippe - they don't try to pass themselves off to be. The quality of the construction is top notch and the skeletonized movement is a joy to behold.
At this price - you could almost get a couple for different occasions...

Nice size, I love the skeletonized movement in rose-tone. I love the look of this watch, it works well!

The product is elegant at first sight, and does not fail to keep the elegance throughout use. Came in an attractive box with manuals, cloth and even a warranty card. It is a phenomenal watch and it's easy to tell that the company is truly concerned about pleasing the customers. Will not be disappointed!

Nice watch! I already own a couple of automatic watches, but I always wanted a skeleton watch.
Neat to see the inner workings. Would buy again.

Nice watch, but could have bought the exact same watch from heartland america for $89.99. Looks like im the fool.

I just got this watch and it is quite nice for the price, although the "engraved" support in the skeleton face appears to be a plastic molding, but, still looks good. It is fun to watch the movement do its thing (guess I must be mighty dull!).
But, I agree with one of the above reviews that the Amazon price is high when compared to $92.98 at Heartland America, including free shipping and a $2.99 handling fee--whatever that might be. However, the HA watch comes with a one year "international" warranty and, the Amazon with a two year US warranty. And, the "international" warranty requires you to pay $20 if you send it in for service, which appears to be a violation of local law (warranty service must be at no charge).
Perhaps someone can chime in with the terms of their warrenty?

I am just beginning to buy nice watches and this is my first Stuhrling. The band is nice quality and I really like seeing the "inner workings" of the watch. I would recommend this item to a friend.

the Sturhling Original Rose-Tone Skeleton watch was even more beautiful that I expected...perfect size with band of quality to match the watch. The packaging, and other attention to details were far beyond what I had expected for a watch of this price point.. definitely would buy again and highly recommend this watch to others....well done, Sturhling

My grandaughter call this watch.... my Golden Compass. Indeed it resembles that item from the movie. The beautiful moving parts and watchworks visible from the back give this unique timepiece the look of a museum treasure.
My favorite accolade however revoles around the absence of a battery. This watch powers itself on the movement of one's arm and an occasional winding if it hasn't been worn in a few days. Actually I've given this to all the women in my family..sisters and daughter. The Sturhling classic is a work of art AND a functional treasure!

This is a strikingly beautiful watch. The piece seems to be well made with a substantial case/dial and a nice leather band. The rose colored face is quite nice but the skeleton movement is the real eye-catcher. Only time will tell whether it is made to last.

This beautiful watch was a Christmas gift from my husband to my father and was it ever a surprise - he never imagined such a wonderful timepiece. This is the nicest, most elegant, watch that my father has owned in his 80 years!

I received this watch as a gift, and I could not be any happier with it. It keeps time to within one minute per week (yes, per week) compared to the time.gov site. The watch itself is absolutely beautiful, even more so in person than in pictures.
Finally, I have examined the movement (the visible parts anyway) under a microscope. If you have access to a microscope, I would highly recommend it. It is a very well made movement, and seeing it so close has given me a new appreciation for horology.

This watch is a lot of fun! I love mechanical clocks and watches, and being able to see the movement working has kept me entertained while doing things like waiting for trains or sitting through meetings. It also seems to be accurate to within a few seconds a day--it will gain about a minute over the course of a couple of weeks, making it the most accurate mechanical watch I've ever owned.
There are a couple of things you should know about this watch though. First, the strap that it comes with is terrible. It's leather but it looks and feels like plastic and is uncomfortable to wear. I got a lot of "love the watch, hate the strap" comments after I got this watch. I eventually went to a jeweler and had the strap replaced.
Also, although Sturling tries to imply that this is a Swiss watch, it's actually made in China. It doesn't say that anywhere on the watch or its box, or on Sturhling's website. I had to do some real digging on the internet to find out where it was made. The dishonesty here annoyed me a little.
Having said that, I would not hesitate to recommend this watch to you! While you're not getting a Swiss watch you're still getting a great watch at a very affordable price.

This was a gift but when the person received it failed to work at all and they ended up replacing it for Amazon credit.
They said it was a handsome watch, nonetheless.
