By introducing the Charleston as part of our Roaring Twenties Series the Charleston features one of the most sought after complications in the world of horology a power reserve indicator (positioned just below twelve oclock). Combine the power reserve function with a quick-set date indicator at the three oclock position and an offset second-hand trapezoidal-shaped sub-dial at the six oclock position, and understand that the this amazing timepiece is being powered by a 21-jewel mechanical automatic movement, and one begins to realize the technical achievement in watch-making that is present here. But with the Charleston, its not all about aesthetics; the Charleston is beautifully enhanced by the hydraulically stamped dial with an art deco inspired intricately crafted sun-ray design which is ideally suited to complement the large tank-shaped case with its geometric influence. And then to really round out the look, just have a gander at how the skeletonized alpha hands and the art-deco inspired numerals on the Charleston are perfectly harmonizing to the entire vision In typical Stührling fashion the curved-top case is milled from only the finest 316L surgical grade stainless steel and accommodates a large domed Krysterna crystal. The convex bezel is finished with a high polish and the markers on the dial are all individually applied. The stainless-steel crown is very unique with its crenellated edge and Stührling embossed logo On the flip side, the Charleston is completed with a fully decorated screw-down exhibition case back with a beveled edge. Water resistant to 50 meters, the Charleston is mounted on a 22 mm wide Alligator embossed genuine French leather strap. The strap has quick release pins for easy interchangeability, a water repellant lining and is also adorned with a stainless steel push button dual deployant clasp.
