Named The Emperor for its ?open heart? exhibition in homage to the famous fable of The Emperor and the Nightingale, this magnificent timepiece lives up to its title. The fable is a wonderful story in which the beautiful voice of a singing bird nurses the Emperors failing heart back to health. Once saved by the nightingale, the Emperor?s heart was indeed transformed. Once a self-centered and cold hearted ruler, the Emperor became altruistic and pleasurable with a beautiful and tender heart which all those in his kingdom could easily see! The Emperor has all the usual Stührling Original features that we have become synonymous with: 21-jewel self-winding mechanical movement; Krysterna? crystals (front and back); 5 ATM water resistant; alligator embossed genuine French leather strap with a deployment-clasp-with-buckle clasp; decorated screw down exhibition case- back; Côtes de Genève decoration on the movement with blued steel screws and a Damier finish on the Stührling signed rotor; solid 316L surgical grade stainless steel case; the rose-gold executions are fused with 16K rose gold; and a gem cabochon set in the knurled edge onion style crown. I saw the adv on the website and liked the watch , i placed the order immediatly , when i received the piece i checked it i found that the tounge in the bottom flap is missing , this means in simple and plain words that i cant wear it , i contacted Amazon customer service , they told me to conatct the vendor , i wrote them email and attached a photo to prove my claim however i didnt get any response , contacted Amazon again who wrote me at the end that they cant replace the item , the only option i had is to return it , and since I'm living outside the states at this moment i found that the shipping cost will be almost equal to the price of the watch , now i kept it with the hope that i will take it to a repair shop to find an alternative for that missing part , i advise every body to be carefull when buying expensive things through the web.

This watch is made with an attention to detail found in watches you'd pay thousands for. People will ask to see it and will not believe what you payed for it. I especially like the band. Once adjusted to size,you can put it on and take it off like a braclet. You'll find yourself wishing someone will ask the time, but you'd better have some to spare.
