Piattino di Volo means flying saucer and in keeping true to its ?bloodlines,? the new edition Quadrato looks like something from another galaxy! This elegant Stührling Original gentleman?s self-winding mechanical and quartz movement dual time-zone timepiece features a swank vertically striped embossed dial with a concentric circle design on the sub-dial for the second time zone. The true charm of the Quadrato is the second time zone complication at the eight o?clock position. Looking like a satellite orbiting its master, the sub-dial is actually controlled by its own separate quartz movement with its own crown while the main dial boasts a classic three-hand display powered by a 23-jewel self-winding mechanical movement. The combination of a mechanical automatic movement and a quartz movement in one timepiece is something akin to something from a different world. You just don?t see it everyday!

I thought this watch looked great online in the pictures, but it was even more stunning in person! It's very classy looking and has a nice, large face. I bought this for my husband's birthday, and he absolutely loved it. The band is a little different- it looks like a regular leather band, but it also has a metal clasp that is hidden.

I received my order today and couldn't wait to check it out. It was my first Stuhrling Original. I liked the different style and choose this model. The face is a little larger than I expected but still looks great. I am very pleased with the craftsmanship and will likely purchase additional Stuhrling Original watches.
