Let?s start with the technical wonderment of The Navigator. First, you have a three-eye add and split function chronograph which by itself is an amazing accomplishment. The sub-dial at the six o?clock position records accuracy to within tenths of a second (more on that one later)! Then you have a beautifully luminous tipped large sweep stop second hand rotating off the center axis. As for the minutes, the sub-dial at the ten o?clock position shows a thirty minute dial. In most cases with most chronographs, you would see that and think that is nice that my chronograph can record time up to thirty minutes?.but this is The Navigator. Would you believe that the chronograph function can record time up to ten full hours? Here?s the unthinkable: after the first thirty minutes of tracking the time with the chronograph function, the tenths of a second sub-dial at six o?clock, automatically begins tracking the hours! This is an amazing achievement in horology. This inconceivable complication is only the beginning! Next, The Navigator with its unbeatable chronograph functions also contains another of the most sought after multi-complications in a wrist-watch?a master calendar! The three eyes have all been emblazoned with concentric circles and that theme is picked up toward the outer portion of the dial. The diamond cut faceted minute hand, the arrowhead of the hour hand, and the tip of the large stop-second hand, as well as the deeply squared off and embossed Arabic numerals have all been treated with Super Luminova? to make The Navigator really sing in the dark. The day and month apertures are positioned expertly side by side just under the twelve o?clock position and the dates of the month are spaced beautifully around the outer circumference of the dial in position for the date pointer to tell you where we are in the month at a quick glance!

I missed the "rose tone" reference in the bezel description above and didn't realize the watch was made with rose colored gold. So, I was disappointed when I first saw the watch. I haven't yet decided whether I'm keeping it, but I thought I'd save someone else from making the same mistake. Also note that the face is mother-of-pearl.
Its a very nice looking watch and if they spent half as much effort in building a quality watch as they spent in packaging, then it was a good deal.

Stuhrling Original Women's Clipper Divers Watch #157.112247 This is a very nice looking watch and so far its working fine. My wife really likes the look of it. However, the description isn't really clear about where the watch is manufactured. The "movement" is Swiss and with a name like Stuhrling you would "assume" it is of Swiss manufacture... but this watch is made in China, not Switzerland. If I had known it was made in China I would have gotten a different watch, but it still may turn out to be a nice working watch. But be aware that you aren't buying this watch at the discount stated. It may be worth the 100+ dollars you pay for it, but it isn't worth the $450+ stated as the retail value.
Finally, I would suggest you read the reviews on other Stuhrling watches to evaluate their quality before buying this watch.

This picture does NOT do the watch justice. This is a great watch for business, casual and everyday wear. I wanted a watch with a second hand and the date. This is a substantial size, it is not a light-weight but even though I have a small wrist, it still looks good on me.(I did have to remove links) I also wear a lot of gold and was concerned about too much silver on the watch. Happily, the majority of the watch is brushed stainless steel, so the gold stands out and looks good with gold jewelry. I was also concerned about white numbers on a white background, but the Mother-of-Pearl texture provides the contrast and the numbers are outlined in gold. The magnification is there for the date so it is more easily read than the photo would have you believe. The bezel is functional as a timer. It looks and feels like a much more expensive watch, and has Swiss movement. I had never heard of Struhrling watches previously, and was slightly hesitant, but I am very pleased with my purchase.
