This is the second watch I have bought from Stuhrling. It is beautiful and came exactly as pictured on Amazon. I love the self winding feature and what most people don't understand is that the more you wear it the longer it keeps time. It works based on the motion of your hand. I would never have any other type of watch as who wants to bother with batteries. Rolex also uses this feature. It is hard to find an affordable watch with this feature. I don't know what the other person is talking about, as I phoned Stuhrling and the phone was answered on the second ring. I would recommend this watch to anyone. I have gotten numerous compliments on it. Hope you buy one and enjoy it as much as I have.

I bought this watch because I work on "Wall Street". I find the watch hard to read because the hands are the same color as the background. I've also discovered that the time is very unreliable. Either it runs very fast or very slow. I also don't like having to set the time every morning. Since I don't wear the watch to bed, it doesn't get moved and that's what winds the watch.

I just received this watch and wanted to write immediately without the benefit of long term use because my experience was different from one of the other writers.
My watch looked just like the picture except even more beautiful. Did you ever get an item and just shiver because it was so perfect? Well, this watch is worth a lot more than I paid, with free overnight delivery added! I adore it. The band is just like the picture.
As for the oddball instructions cited by the other writer, the only thing I noted like that applied to a date function which was obviously inapplicable to this watch. There was nothing in my instructions that made me at all hesitant to wind it, either manually or by the self wind function. I wound it and it started going just like it should. I have not yet had the time to test its accuracy.
This is no costume piece. It is large (but not too large) and heavy. It comes with a manufacturer's warranty, and it is beautifully and carefully packaged. It might be hard to read in some lighting because of glare, but the hands and numbers are large and easily read if there is no glare. And my eyes are not the best!
I am sorry the other writer did not share my happy experience. By the way, I ordered through Amazon.

Watch looks great. However, it did NOT come with the strap pictured at Amazon or the Stuhrling website. The watch runs only a day or so, and then you have to wind it and reset the time before wearing it. The Stuhrling phone number does NOT work; I tried to call them three times and never got through. The manual is poorly written and not watch specific. It says something about not winding it between 10 and 4?!? Not sure what happens if you need the watch between those times, and there is no one to ask (phone number out of order). So if you can plan ahead for wearing it, it works well and looks nice. However, my time was not meant to revolve around a watch.

I own this watch, only in Stainless Steel. I paid much more. I love it and get many complements. It's a good size, but still feminine and professional looking. I have had many women want to buy it right off my wrist! No way! I love the self-winding. Hate taking watches in for batteries, and they don't seem to last long. This watch is a classic, you won't tire of it and it will last a long time, you will probably be handing it down to relative. You can also change bands if different color is wanted for different seasons/occassions. Enjoy!

This "skeleton" watch is very beautiful, has the heft and finish of a very fine watch, and I enjoy looking at the works, both in front and in the back. But the "works" make it difficult to read the time since one must first find the hands, which tend to be camoflaged by the background workings. It would have helped if the hands had been colored and luminous in the dark to help distinguish them from the background.
Unlike the experience of another reviewer, the watch keeps working over night, and I enjoy tilting it back and forth to watch what happens in the back.
Five stars if the hands were easily visible, which is what a "watch" is all about.

I just received this Stuhrling watch from Amazon and am very impressed with the quality look and feel. The watch I received looks exactly like the one pictured on the product page. It's gold-tone color is more of a rose than yellow gold, the dial is easy to read, and the exposed inner mechanism is an interesting touch. I can't say anything about the long-term performance yet, but so far I'm very pleased with this beautiful, professional-looking watch.

I have been looking for an automatic watch which is both beautiful and well-made for quite a while now. I have finally found that watch. I love the gold and black combination. The gold numbers on a black background make the numbers readable, which is hard to find in many watches. The position of the crown makes it very easy to wind the watch while wearing. However, I only have to wind it to set the time. The watch charges as soon as I pick it up, no winding or shaking necessary! These colors also go with anything so I can wear my watch everyday. I purchased this watch two weeks ago; it arrived on time and in the most amazing packaging. I definitely felt like I got my money's worth.

Unlike the illustration, the face on which the hours are shown is gold coloured,just like the hands and even the works underneath. Therefore the hands are indistinguishable. To read it requires great wrist and arm dexterity to get the angle right. Weird! It's unlikely I'll never wear it again until my funeral. Otherwise the production quality seems OK, and it works OK (as far as one can tell). It is REALLY BIG. Being entirely gold-coloured, it looks astonishly vulgar - hey - just like Wall St.! After reading other feedback I am not confident that Stuhrling will be able to replace it with the advertised product and I not want to enter into a dispute with their allegedly rude and grumpy staff, so I have just decided to cut my losses.

I bought the Stuhrling Original Ladies Lifestyle 'Wall Street' Skeleton Automatic Watch and it's absolutely beautiful. The window into the inner-workings is a lovely feature, and the details like scrollwork and multi-coloured screws are great. I keep taking it off to watch it work. It's a little larger than I thought it would be, but I suppose with all the gears and gizmos that should have been expected. Anyway, I think it was a great deal and I'm very happy I bought it.
