Prompt confirmation, very quick shipping and complete package exactly as promised. Very satisfied with both product and buying experience.

I read about the Orange Monster in QP magazine and decided to buy one for my collection, since I don't have a 'diving' watch since I sold the Seamaster chrono. The watch kit seemed very good value and arrived in perfect condition quickly (from the USA to the UK). The included tools were good enough to perform the required bracelet link removal and adjustment - the instructions supplied were clear and comprehensive and I removed several links without scratching the watch.
Very happy with both the watch and the seller's service, the quality of the OM is simply astonishing given the price, and compares well with much more expensive watches in my collection.

THIS WATCH IS REALLY GREAT. I HAVE BOUGHT 2 OF THEM. THE PRICE IS OVER HALF OF WHAT WE WOULD HAVE PAID IN A JEWERLY STORE. FAST SHIPPING TOO.

The SEIKO ORANGE MONSTER is an excellent product!! Particularly nice is the Stainless Steel Band. The Stainless Band lends the appearance of being wider to/from the Stainless Case vs. the Rubber Band. It's more aesthetically pleasing.
The Rubber Band however, is a convenient alternative for casual wear. Would suggest an instruction sheet for the Spring Remover/Link Band Tool.

I purchased this watch about 18 months ago. I had never owned a watch with an orange dial before getting my Seiko. It is a really handsome watch and is heavy and solid. It keeps excellent time and is very reliable. If you're looking for a Seiko automatic dive watch, I believe you will really like it. I enjoy wearing mine.

I found this watch at a good price here on Amazon. There have been many positive reviews of this watch, so I'll just say that it met all of my expectations.

Love it. Great value. Get complimented all the time on it. Sturdy, accurate. I wear it every day.

I read the reviews before I bought this watch. I'm glad that dispite the few negative comments, I went for the great looks, and the history of Seiko quality. Too say the least, I'm very satisfied with my new love, the Orange Monster! I say, "Buy it, you will love it!"

I bought this watch first semester senior year of college (now just over one year ago). I read nearly all the reviews posted here, tried one on before buying, and thought carefully as this would be my first >$150 watch.
I like the styling, case/exterior quality, and fit. It rides like a smaller/lighter watch due to the "sticky" textured pattern on the back. The case, bezel, and crystal wear like iron and still look good despite being an everyday watch.
For the first three months of use, the watch would lose about 2 minutes a week. This was unacceptable but after that point settled down to +/- 1 minute a month.
This is where the good ends. Roughly 4 months into use, the watch would stop as soon as I stopped moving. It was not for lack of an active lifestyle, as I wore the watch for an hour during PT every morning, running, and walking throughout the day. I would get back from a 40 minute run, take the watch off to shower, and have it stop within 10 minutes.
As near as I can figure, it was because I started playing racquetball while wearing the watch and must have subjected the movement to too much shock.
It was sent in for warranty work. The turnaround was fast and the watch movement seemed to be fixed. Two weeks after the watch came back, I was out in the sun and noticed condensation on the inside of the crystal. I was always worried about this happening and check the crown tightness daily. Water nevertheless got in.
Watch went back again for work. Turnaround was again under two weeks.
Fastforward to yesterday- the watch has water in it again. One more time, I will stress that I check the crown for tightness once a day and tighten it as far as can be done without pliers.
This is supposedly a 200M dive watch, and I am becoming frustrated with it. This will be the third time back to warranty in a year. I bought it for the movement/watch's reputation for durability and longevity. So far I have seen neither. I hope I got lemon. If this cycle continues, it will be sold before the warranty expires. I very much want to like this watch.

I purchased my watch in May 2007 after about 6 months I began having problems with it, so I contacted Amazons watch warranty center, the watch was returned to the designated repair center and sent back 2 months later, the watch repair center stated that they cleaned the watch.
After another 6 months the watch ceased to function, again, so it was sent back for more warranty repair work, this time the watch repair company said the replaced the internals of the watch.
I did notice that the main gasket on the back of the watch was crimped and so when it went into the water with me, my Seiko dive watch filled with water, needless to say, it quit working again.
I tried to return the watch for repair and the warranty told me that the problem was not covered by the warranty, a rather heated exchange took place and the warranty repair center finally agreed that repair would be covered, so the watch was returned again.
I just got the watch back again today and yes the repair center fixed the gasket but it appears that the repair center may have overlooked cleaning all the water residue out of the inside of the watch, because it does not work, again!
I am not going to return it again, because its cost me almost $80 in postage and insurance for the past repair attempts and to send it back again will be another $20.00 for nothing.
So the watch is going into my junk drawer and I will go to reputable jewelry store for my next watch purchase, the watches that amazon sells along with their bogus warranties is not worth it!
So beware before you buy a watch from amazon, you may never be able to get it repaired properly!

Very nice watch for the cost, less than 200 dollars. Gains about a minute every two days. I can deal with that. Very easy to read in low light conditions. If you don't wear the watch all the time you can shake it back and forth for about a minute to keep it wound. My only regret when I purchased the watch is that I didn't get the metal band for an extra 15 dollars. Now I can't find one anywhere for less than 50 dollars. You can find the rubber bands everywhere for less than 20 dollars. But overall very nice watch.

I've had a Seiko "Orange Monster" for about a year now, and I love the rugged metal band (I hate plastic/rubber), the 200m depth rating (I do some diving), and the size, clarity, and styling of the dial. The band and clasp are much, much better than any others in this price range. The watch seems to be very rugged, as I have worn it for lots of strenuous physical work without any damage. Accuracy is not great, though as the watch wears in it seems to be getting better. When I first got it, it gained from 5-30 seconds a day. It's now down to about 5 seconds gain, which I think is very acceptable for an automatic watch at this price. All in all, I think this watch is a great value and I regularly get compliments on it. I would give it 4 1/2 stars due to the accuracy issue, but I think taking all factors into consideration it's worth the 5.
