This watch truly is a beautiful time piece. I love the look, the quality, the value, etc. etc. I didn't buy this watch because I needed it, I bought it because I wanted it. I'm usually very hard on crystals, but this one has proven to be very scratch risistant. The reviews helped convince me of the quality. I simply love everything about this watch.

Ditto what everyone else says about how the watch is MUCH nicer than how it appears in the photographs. Seriously it looks much more beautiful and expensive than the Tissot's or Citizen chronograph watches costing 3-4x as much. And yes, it's not as black as in the photo. It is more of a gunmetal color and looks brighter or darker depending on the angle and lighting conditions.
Aside from style the watch is quite comfortable. My wrists aren't very wide and I had three links removed. It doesn't get sticky or pokey. I was concerned the watch might be too big and thick, but once I had it fitted I found this not to be the case. It has a nice weight to it as expected so if you're not used to it, it feels like half a handcuff attached. Hey, it's a man's watch, not a wussy Movado.

This watch is excellent for the price; as stated, it's mean-looking and sleek. I do have a couple of issues: 1) The band scratches quite easily. This is especially a problem due to its color; and 2) For some reason, the date goes ahead too quickly (I will change the date at 12:05 in the morning, and by that afternoon it'll be on the next day...annoying). It's weird, and I'm sure it's not endemic with all this model.
However, for $200 it's hard to beat. It's so attractive, and I've had so many positive comments, I've basically put my Tissot and Techomarine in the bullpen.

This is a slick, rugged-looking, macho watch where the quality of the craftsmanship is obvious. Despite the fact that I have fairly thin wrists, it is a prefect size, and doesn't engulf the joint as a watch with a larger face might. I've acquired a nick or two on the strap (I tend to be hard on watches - wear them all the time), but the crystal hasn't a single mark - testament to its durability.
I thoroughly recommend this timepiece.

i got my watch today in the mail. its heavy but has the feel of quality. i pulled it out of the box and the light hit it. it immediately set itself to the time. after reading over the instructions, setting it was easy, the pull is difficult to pull out to set while on your wrist and difficult to turn while wearing. i was disappointed with the size of the face, i was hoping for a bigger face. but honestly for the price, feel and ability of the watch its the best watch ive ever owned.

Very well executed design by Seiko. I received this watch to replace an old Bulova that finally failed. I shopped the Invicta, Seiko, and Citizen lines pretty hard before selecting this model. I think the unique design of the integrated bracelet sealed the deal for me. I received the watch after about a week (free shipping), removed a couple of links to fit, and have been wearing it ever since.
The Chronograph works very well and is easy to operate. I was pleased to learn that it can keep split times as well as total duration for my son's track events. The alarm feature is nice, but it is a pretty weak tone and shouldn't be counted on for a wakeup alarm if you're a heavy sleeper.
The links are large and solid which I like. The overall "gun metal" finish is very attractive. I think this watch is a keeper and good for all-around use whether in the office or sporting events.

The Citizen Black Skyhawk watch may not have all the cosmic features of it's big brothers, but it packs an impressive array none the less.
I also own a 15-year-old previous generation of the SkyHawk line and was thankful that the new generation is far easier to set. For instance, one only has to set the digital portion and with a button press, the analog hands take the shortest path to their correct positions. Amazing to, ahem, watch.

This tool worked fine for me. I did break a pin but it was because of my own fault. I just turned it too fast rather than working it back and forth in a slow manner. This product will last depending on the byers method of use and abuse.

The watch is very functional for those like me who are pilots, the world time and UTC dial are great functions also the E6B dial around the case is very useful for aviation and normal daily calculations like division, multiplication, and conversions. BUT if you plan to wear every day like I have been doing since I got it (3 months ago) the paint on the bottom of the brace will start fading away with normal wear do to constant friction on the bottom with normal every day use, the glass can scratch easily also should be done with saphir but the cost would go up. Other then that great watch, not too heavy and great looks.

This is my 3rd Citizens Watch. I also own a battery powered Blue Angels, and a Sky Hawk Eco-Drive. They are 9 years old, and 4 years old respectively. I'm an outdoors-man, and I'm very hard on my watches. These things are built like little tanks. I've beat them to death, and they've never let me down. Every 3 or 4 years I send them into have the crystals replaced, and the battery replaced in the Blue Angels Chronograph. That is all the maintenance that they get. I find it amazing that banging them against abrasive surfaces while hunting and fishing has only damaged the crystals. Other then that these watches look and work like they're new. I'm 65 years old, and I've never found a watch that is as rugged or reliable as Citizens watches are. I'm a customer for life. Good job citizens!
